A page from Stone Creek Silk

Welcome to Stone Creek Textiles

A very warm welcome to the Stone Creek Textiles web site! Do have a look round - you'll find pages on all sorts of topics from what and where I'm teaching, to information on the techniques I use in my work and a long list of good books - this won't surprise anyone who knows me!

Stone Creek Barn

At the centre of all this is Stone Creek Barn where I work and teach in the lovely East Riding of Yorkshire. Come and create your own unique fabrics using a wide variety of techniques. The groups here are always small, 4-6 students at a time, so you can enjoy working with like-minded people, or on your own, and have plenty of space to work - time for you.

I also travel widely attending shows, giving talks and teaching for groups, guilds and colleges. I really enjoy meeting the friendly, welcoming people round the country and always get inspiration from my students.

There are various ways to keep up to date with what I'm doing - I send out an email newsletter once a month and I have a Facebook page. The way I use these is that the newsletter has items on new products I've come across, new experiments, information on what and where I'm teaching as well as the 'book of the month'. I use Facebook for headlines and things that come up between newsletters, so it's there that I announce new courses, as they are organised, and other news. You can join the mailing list by following the link on the left-hand navigation panel. If you decide that it's not for you then it's very easy to unsubscribe and you won't receive any more.
